Is wedding planning a fun career?

I am way too young for a job but i was thinking what i wanted to be and wedding planning sounded fun. Is it? And what do you do?

The wedding planner has a very tough job.

It involves dealing with diverse groups of people ( in-laws, the couple, friends, musicians, caterer, bridesmaids, minister, etc ) all of whom have their own ideas as to what they want.

It is a little like trying to mediate a family quarrel where several family members are involved, at high levels of emotion and impatience. And if you fail they ALL turn on you as the fault.

For the most part, the wedding planner works under high levels of expectations, high levels of deadlines, generally ungrateful people, and does not get paid that much.

It is not a career I would voluntarily take. people get burned out quickly.
